Steam works great on Vista, but you may encounter an issue installing a game that has an older version of
Steam on its installation media.
If you already have
Steam installed and working on your machine, rather than install the game, open
Steam, go to the
Games menu and select
Activate a product on Steam. Enter your CD key and let the game install over Steam.
