"Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare" uses OpenGL for rendering, so you must install the latest video card drivers from your video card manufacturer. The drivers available with Windows Vista or over Windows Update will not work for this game.

Regardless of whether the autorun starts the setup process or if you start the setup process manually by launching "setup.exe," the setup process hangs and you will be unable to install the game on Vista 64-bit. Open Task Manager, select "setup.exe" or "setup.exe *32" (depending on how setup was launched), and select "End Process."
